President Trump "outfoxed" Democrats by signing the bipartisan border security compromise, Dan Bongino said Saturday on Fox & Friends.

Trump signed the legislation that would provide nearly $1.4 billion for new border barriers, and he also announced he'd be declaring a national emergency at the border, in an effort to divert billions of government dollars toward his desired wall.

Bongino, a Fox News contributor and former Secret Service agent, said that he isn't sure if Democrats realize how badly Trump "wrecked" them in how he'll fund a wall.

He said by the time Trump gets to national emergency funding, he will have already spent billions of dollars from other legally obtained federal funds.

'They Absolutely Blew This': Chaffetz Rips 'Pathetic & Inept' Congress for Past Border Security Measures

"I don't think the Democrats understand how badly they got owned on this thing on the funding side," Bongino said.

Many top Democrats, though, appeared to disagree with Trump's announcement Friday. New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand called the decision "an outrageous abuse of power," and 2020 presidential candidate Julian Castro said Trump instigated a "constitutional crisis" in declaring such an emergency.

Let's be clear on this: The only emergency at our border is the humanitarian one Trump created himself, by demonizing and ripping apart families. This manufactured crisis is racist, wasteful, and an outrageous abuse of power from someone too reckless and hateful to hold it.

— Kirsten Gillibrand (@SenGillibrand) February 15, 2019

We no longer have 3 co-equal branches of government. The President, in taking money designated by Congress for other needs to build his senseless wall, has voided the voice of the people. The real national emergency is the constitutional crisis the President just instigated.

— Julián Castro (@JulianCastro) February 15, 2019

"President Trump outfoxed these guys again," Bongino said. "He outfoxed them again, I'm sure of it."

Filling in for nationally syndicated radio talk show host Mark Levin on “The Mark Levin Show” Wednesday, host Dan Bongino announced that “[t]he Russian collusion fairytale is finally, fully, completely collapsing.”

“The Russian collusion fairytale is finally, fully, completely collapsing and taking down all of the imbeciles and morons who promoted this colossal, tier-one level hoax to every impressionable sucker who [slurping noise] sucked it up like a bunch of idiots,” stated Dan Bongino while filling in for Mark Levin.

“In case you missed it, Richard Burr [(R-N.C.)], who’s the chairman of the Senate Intel Committee, … finally comes out yesterday and admits … [that] they haven’t found anything,” Bongino said later in the show.

Dan Bongino’s comments on Mark Levin’s show came after “Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), the intelligence committee chairman, told NBC News, ‘There is no factual evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia,’” according to CNSNews.com. Bongino also references a tweet he responded to by Natasha Bertrand, “a staff writer at The Atlantic, where she covers national security and the intelligence community,” who said the following on her Twitter page:

“Chuck Rosenberg gave me another example: you wake up with snow on your front lawn. Do you have direct evidence that it snowed? No. But the circumstantial evidence is strong, and far more likely than someone driving up to your house and throwing snow on your lawn.”

Below is a transcript of Dan Bongino’s remarks form the show Wednesday:

“The Russian collusion fairytale is finally, fully, completely collapsing and taking down all of the imbeciles and morons who promoted this colossal, tier-one level hoax to every impressionable sucker who [slurping noise] sucked it up like a bunch of idiots.

“In case you missed it, Richard Burr, who’s the chairman of the Senate Intel Committee, not a diehard conservative, and certainly not some kind of flamethrower – he’s a Republican, but a very, I don’t know how to say it, ‘milktoast,’ ‘level-toned,’ kinda moderate, down-the-middle guy – who’s been, I think to our detriment more than willing to entertain allegations of collusion, finally comes out yesterday and admits after a leak by NBC News about the Senate Intel Committee report that marrying up with the House’s investigation, the House Select Committee on this, marrying up with their charges that there is no direct evidence of this collusion. They haven’t found anything despite multiple witnesses, hundreds of documents, testimony, countless dollars. They have found nothing. This marries up with the Mueller probe, which has yet to find a darn thing about collusion.

“Now, the liberal media— I was just reading a tweet by the hilarious— What’s her name? Natasha Bertrand. Natasha Bertrand. What’s her—Where does she— I mean, hold on. I’m doing this— She writes at The Atlantic. Oh, she’s an[sic] MSNBS— Oh, sorry. She’s MSNBC contributor. I thought she was a journalist. So, she’s an MSNBC contributor, meaning, of course, she’s a comedian by nature. But maybe she’s pretending to be a journalist. I don’t know. But making some allegation, well, ‘Well, we look out the window and we see snow on the ground, and although we didn’t see it snow, it’s not direct evidence that it snowed, but we see the snow, so we can assume it snowed.’

“That was just— That was genius. What fantastic analysis by Natasha Bertrand, comedian over at MSDNC. That is great work.

“So, I responded to this hilarious tweet. Let me just read it. I shouldn’t read tweets on the air, but still it’s funny anyway. I think it’s funny because it’s mine. You should never laugh at your own jokes, but we’re throwing all the radio rules out the window today. So, I tweet, hey, listen, I’m sorry for retweeting this. ‘You’re [basically] all dumber for having seen [this] below tweet from a ‘journalist.’ But I feel an obligation to sacrifice a few collective neurons in order to show you how ridiculous the media loons have become in the Trump era.’

“Ladies and gentlemen, there is no evidence of this collusion. They can’t find it anywhere.”

It’s a simple question, yet it is at the heart of the Democrats’ latest push to essentially make it legal to take the lives of breathing infants after they are born.

How many breaths does an infant child have to take before they’re free from the deadly legislative pen of the Democrats?

"'Spygate: The Attempted Sabotage of Donald J. Trump,' is terrific. He's tough, he's smart, and he really gets it. His book is on sale now. I highly recommend!" —President of the United States, Donald J. Trump

“An explosive account of the biggest scandal in American history, and the political players that tried to pull it off.”—Sean Hannity

The comprehensive story of how the Obama administration, Hillary Clinton campaign, and foreign entities tried to sabotage the Trump campaign in the 2016 presidential election.

Everyone has an opinion about whether or not Donald Trump colluded with the Russians to defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016. The number of actors involved is staggering, the events are complicated, and it’s hard to know who or what to believe. Spygate bypasses opinion and brings facts together to expose the greatest political scandal in American history.

Former Secret Service agent and NYPD police officer Dan Bongino joins forces with journalist D.C. McAllister to clear away fake news and show you how Trump’s political opponents, both foreign and domestic, tried to sabotage his campaign and delegitimize his presidency. By following the names and connections of significant actors, the authors reveal:

Why the Obama administration sent a spy connected to the Deep State into the Trump campaign

How Russians were connected to the opposition research firm hired by the Clinton campaign to find dirt on Trump

How the FBI failed to examine DNC computers after they were hacked, relying instead on the findings of a private company connected to the DNC and the Obama administraton

Why British intelligence played a role in building the collusion narrative

What role Ukrainians played in legitimizing the perception that Trump was conspiring with the Russians

How foreign players in the two events that kickstarted the Trump-Russia collusion investigation were connected to the Clinton Foundation, and

What motivated the major actors who sought to frame the Trump campaign and secure a win for Hillary Clinton

An undated yearbook photo appears to show Virginia Governor Ralph "Coonman" Northam sporting the same pair of pants as a man in blackface pictured in his 1984 medical school yearbook.

The photo in question features a group of boys standing in front of a car below the title "Hi-Y" (a YMCA boys-only high-school program). The caption below indicates that Ralph Northam was the group's president, while a boy standing on the right side is wearing what appears to be an identical pair of pants to the figure in blackface in Northam's controversial 1984 yearbook page.

"While balancing classes and work, Ralph also distinguished himself as captain of the both the basketball and baseball teams, and President of Student Government, the Beta Club and the Hi-Y Club, reads Northam's bio at Our Campaigns.

Northam came under fire after Big League Politics published a page from Northam's 1984 yearbook of him in blackface. The photo had been floating around for months prior to publication, as indicated by Fox's Dan Bongino who said someone sent it to him in October.

Northam initially apologized for appearing in the photo, only to walk that back in a quagmire of a Friday press conference in which he said he was "unaware of what was on my [yearbook] page," and that he was neither the person in blackface or the KKK robes.

He also admitted to going in blackface as Michael Jackson during a dance contest during the same press conference, and then took a reporter's request to "moonwalk" seriously before his wife told him it was "inappropriate circumstances."

Northam has faced calls to resign from prominent Democrats seeking to distance themselves from the Virginia Governor, while President Trump waited until Saturday to weigh in.

Republican strategist and political commentator Rick Wilson mocked supporters of President Donald Trump amid the battle for funding for the border wall.

Now 13 days into the partial government shutdown, it appears both President Trump and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) are standing firm with their positions as he won’t sign any bill that doesn’t include border funding while she insists there will be no money for what she calls an “immoral” wall.

Wilson, who has been an outspoken critic of the president, went after him, and his supporters, during a CNN panel.

“The wall has always been a con for Donald Trump’s credulous rube 10-toothed base. The wall has always been a scam. It has always been a lie. Nothing about the wall has ever been real and Donald Trump knows it,” Wilson told CNN anchor Don Lemon. “He is a guy who has a long history in his career as being a conman. He is conning these people who believe he’s going to build a 2,000-mile 30-foot high concrete wall with laser moats and alligators in it. It’s just crazy and always has been. And yet the suspend their disbelief because they believe so strongly in Donald Trump.”

“It’s an insult to their intelligence, but obviously it seems to work with his base because they believe it over and over again, that nothing will stop the brown horde except the wall,” Wilson added.

After the panel mocked Trump’s "Game of Thrones" meme by pointing out that a wall didn’t work in the popular HBO series, Wilson joked that the wall is going to end up being the “freedom ditch.”

The “Everything Trump Touches Dies” author blasted the president on Wednesday, saying Trump spends his mornings “hoovering up rails of Adderall and rage tweeting.”

Wilson's comments drew the ire of some.

“That this radioactive zero is still taken seriously by CNN speaks volumes about their network," political pundit Dan Bongino tweeted in response. "This epic failure of a human being is a disgrace to the disgraceful and the mention of his name should only be met with immediate ridicule.”

Opinion| We’ve all known that virtually every trip made by congressional delegations are nothing more than junkets for millionaire politicians. From both sides of the aisle.

Former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino has been on his share of them, in many cases, as the lead agent charged with guaranteeing their safety. Here’s what he had to say:

Embassy staff hates them.

As far back as March of 2009, Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch had discovered:

“… that Speaker Pelosi treats the Air Force like her personal airline. Not only does Speaker Pelosi issue unreasonable requests for military travel, but her office seems unconcerned about wasting taxpayer money with last minute cancellations and other demands.”

In one case the cost of the flight was estimated at $83,000. She reimbursed the Air Force $800.

In Pelosi’s world of deficit spending this little guy knows that he’ll be paying for these trips long after Pelosi has passed and been forgotten.

Judicial Watch presented but a few of the highlights from the documents discussing Speaker Pelosi’s opulent, and demanding, expectations:

In response to a series of requests for military aircraft, one Defense Department official wrote, “Any chance of politely querying [Pelosi’s team] if they really intend to do all of these or are they just picking every weekend?…[T]here’s no need to block every weekend ‘just in case’…” The email also notes that Pelosi’s office had, “a history of canceling many of their past requests.”

-One DOD official complained about the “hidden costs” associated with the speaker’s last minute changes and cancellations. “We have…folks prepping the jets and crews driving in (not a short drive for some), cooking meals and preflighting the jets etc.”

-The documents include a discussion of House Ethics rules and Defense Department policies as they apply to the speaker’s requests for staff, spouses and extended family to accompany her on military aircraft. In May 2008, for example, Pelosi requested that her husband join her on a Congressional Delegation (CODEL) into Iraq. The DOD explained to Pelosi that the agency has a written policy prohibiting spouses from joining CODEL’s into combat zones.

-Documents obtained from the U.S. Army include correspondence from Speaker Pelosi’s office requesting an Army escort and three military planes to transport Pelosi and other members of Congress to Cleveland, Ohio, for the funeral services of the late Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones. Pelosi noted in her letter of August 22, 2008, that such a request, labeled “Operation Tribute” was an “exception to standard policy.”

-The documents also detail correspondence from intermediaries for Speaker Pelosi issuing demands for certain aircraft and expressing outrage when requested military planes were not available. “It is my understanding there are no G5s available for the House during the Memorial Day recess. This is totally unacceptable…The speaker will want to know where the planes are…” wrote Kay King, Director of the House Office of Interparliamentary Affairs. In a separate email, when told a certain type of aircraft would not be available, King writes, “This is not good news, and we will have some very disappointed folks, as well as a very upset [s]peaker.”

Editor’s Note: The G-5 is perhaps the most luxurious private aircraft in service today.

-During another email exchange DOD staff advised Kay King that one Pelosi military aircraft request could not be met because of “crew rest requirements” and offered to help secure commercial travel. Kay King responded: “We appreciate the efforts to help the codel [sic] fly commercially but you know the problem that creates with spouses. If we can find another way to assist with military assets, we would like to do that.”

.@SpeakerPelosi used the Air Force aircraft for a total of 85 trips, covering 206,264 miles, from March 2, 2009 through June 7, 2010. Pelosi, her guests and Air Force personnel logged a total of 428.6 hours on these flights.

— Tom Fitton (@TomFitton) January 18, 2019

That’s enough miles to circumnavigate the globe more than eight times… in 15 months!

And, reserving flight time every weekend in advance so that the preferred aircraft might be available, and then cancelling, she shoes no concern for the crew members who are constantly having their lives, and those of their families, disrupted.

Maybe we need a Speaker who’ll stay in Washington and get things done and not Speaker Pelosi who jet sets around the world looking for where she can make her next deal sabotaging American interests.

After House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s congressional delegation (CODEL) trip to Belgium, Egypt and Afghanistan was spiked by President Donald Trump when he stopped the use of military aircraft, it put a spotlight on Pelosi’s prior use of military aircraft and on the use by Congress in general.

Some, like former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino, have called such trips an excuse for luxury vacations.

And now documents just released are revealing information about a European vacation that Pelosi took to Europe three years ago.

Pelosi’s trip to Italy and Ukraine from July 30 to Aug. 6, 2015, cost the Air Force $184,587.81, according to documents released Saturday under a 2015 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit by Judicial Watch. Her delegation was made up of nine other members of Congress, including Democratic Reps. Anna Eshoo of California and Marcia Fudge of Ohio.

Four family members, including Pelosi’s husband Paul Pelosi, were on the trip. The delegation dined at restaurants including James Beard American Restaurant in Milan, where a five-course meal cost up to $190, according to Fine Dining Lovers. The lawmakers also toured the Vatican and met up with Italian dignitaries, including President Sergio Mattarella and then-Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, according to their itinerary.

The Daily Caller notes that the amount compares to sending a student to Harvard for four years.

Also by comparison, Republican Colorado Sen. Cory Gardner’s CODEL trip with multiple stops in east Asia as a member of the Senate Foreign Relations in 2015 cost about $26,009.03 for commercial flights and per diems, according Judicial Watch, citing FOIA documents.

Judicial Watch has been calling Pelosi out for “abuse” of the perk for years, noting that it has cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over one two-year period — $101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol.

“Purchases for one Pelosi-led CODEL on May 15-20, 2008 included: Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewar’s scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey, Corona beer and several bottles of wine,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said.

“@SpeakerPelosi used the Air Force aircraft for a total of 85 trips, covering 206,264 miles, from March 2, 2009 through June 7, 2010. Pelosi, her guests and Air Force personnel logged a total of 428.6 hours on these flights. Numerous trips were made by Speaker Pelosi between San Francisco and Andrews Air Force Base. Several of these trips included members of Speaker Pelosi’s family,” he noted.

One of the other problems noted by DOD in documents was that Pelosi frequently scheduled trips most weekends and then canceled at the last minute.

One DOD official complained about the “hidden costs” associated with the speaker’s last minute changes and cancellations. “We have…folks prepping the jets and crews driving in (not a short drive for some), cooking meals and preflighting the jets etc.”

Pelosi failed to respond to inquiry from the Daily Caller about her trips and expenditures.

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino schooled Bishop Talbert Swan for trashing the MAGA hat-wearing teens from Covington Catholic High School as racists who deserve to have their lives destroyed.

“It’s like we live in a post-fact, bizarro-world universe,” Bongino said on Fox News‘ Laura Ingraham show. “You have a kid standing there with a MAGA hat… motionless, with a smile on his face, while an adult confronts the kid…What did these kids do wrong?”

Bongino was responding to Bishop Swan’s claims that Covington high school student Nick Sandmann bullying leftist Native American activist Nathan Phillips.

Media Caught Pushing Fake News Again

Unedited videos clearly show that Phillips approached the teenager ― not the other way around. Moreover, Nick did not utter any racist slurs while the Native American loudly banged his drum inches from Sandmann’s face.

Keep in mind that the media initially ran with the fake news that Sandmann was the aggressor. They backpedaled once an unedited video proved their false narrative wrong.

Bishop Swan insists that the Covington Catholic High School students had bullied and harassed Nathan Phillips.

Host Laura Ingraham chimed in:

“You are a man of the cloth. I know you don’t advocate violence.

And you agree ― I would imagine ― that standing there, even wearing a piece of clothing that people find objectionable, is not grounds threatening to kill them, to burn them, and destroy the lives.”

Swan retorted: “We completely agree that there is no excuse for anybody threatening to kill or burn or harm anyone…But I also condemn the type of behavior that I saw from those young men.”

The bishop also blasted the MAGA hat as a symbol of racism tantamount to the Ku Klux Klan hood. Swan huffed:

“It’s a piece of clothing that represents Donald Trump and everything that comes along with that. Donald Trump is an unrepentant racist.

The MAGA hat, to many, is representative of a Klan hood or other racist symbols.”

Bongino: ‘Dumbest Thing I Ever Heard’

Dan Bongino reacted by expressing disbelief at the emotional drivel being spouted by a supposed religious person.

“That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard in seven years of doing cable news that ‘Make America Great Again’ ― by the way, a slogan used by Bill Clinton at times too ― is racist? Are you serious?

So Donald Trump ― who gives you back more of your money, fought for school choice, has black unemployment at the lowest in modern American history ― if he’s a racist, then he’s the worst racist in American history.”

Dan Bongino and Bishop Talbert Swan clashed in a fiery debate about the fallout of the viral confrontation between the Covington Catholic students and Native American elder Nathan Phillips on The Ingraham Angle.

Swan began by acknowledging that the Black Hebrew Israelites “came at” the Covington students and that there was “no excuse” for their behavior, but he then accused the teenagers of “mocking” Phillips and “yelling at women” and saying “it’s not rape if you enjoy it.” Laura Ingraham corrected Swan that the young man who said that remark didn’t attend Covington Catholic High School.

After listening to Swan, Bongino told Ingraham that it’s like we’re living in a “post-fact bizarro world universe,” asking what these kids did wrong.

NATIONAL SHRINE CONFIRMS REPORT THAT NATIVE AMERICAN ACTIVIST ALLEGEDLY TRIED TO DISRUPT MASS

However, on the subject of the MAGA hats Covington student Nick Sandmann was wearing, Swan expressed that it’s a piece of clothing that “represents Donald Trump and everything that comes along with Donald Trump,” who he called an “unrepentant racist,” and compared the hat to a “Klan hood.”

“What’s going on here? Is this real? Did he just say that on cable television?” Bongino reacted.

“I absolutely said that,” the bishop doubled down.

“That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard in seven years of doing cable news that Make America Great Again, by the way a slogan used by Bill Clinton at times too, is racist? Are you serious?” Bongino exclaimed. “So Donald Trump, who gives you back more of your money, fought for school choice, has black unemployment at the lowest in modern American history… if he’s a racist, he’s the worst racist in American history.”

Bishop Swan shot back, invoking Trump’s reported remarks referring to third-world countries as “sh—holes,” calling Mexicans “rapists,” and labeling athletes who kneel during the national anthem “sons of b—ches.” When asked by Ingraham if the criminal justice reform that President Trump signed into law “counts” for anything, Swan said it does, but argued that it doesn’t disprove that the president is racist.

Ingraham wrapped up the heated panel by concluding that no one should be profiled based on the clothes they wear.

Conservative blogger Dan Bongino thinks President Trump has Democrats “in a corner” after offering a compromise package on immigration in an effort to end the partial government shutdown.

“Every individual component of the offer he’s now placed on the table for the Democrats, this compromise deal. Every single component of it, the Democrats have agreed to in the past,” Bongino, a former Secret Service agent who hosts "The Dan Bongino Show," said Monday on “Fox & Friends.”

IN SHUTDOWN FIGHT WITH TRUMP, DEMS REJECT IMMIGRATION DEAL THEY ONCE SPONSORED

“In some cases, with the Secure Fences Act and the wall portion of the money, they have agreed to more. They have nowhere to go on this,” Bongino said. “To the American public, the Democrats can no longer claim Trump is not interested in the deal. He gave you a deal."

Bongino doesn’t think Democrats can take a “moral high road” because of Trump’s recent offer. Trump announced on Saturday that he is prepared to back a three-year extension of protections for 700,000 immigrants who came to the country illegally as children and were shielded from deportation under the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This, in exchange for the $5.7 billion he has requested for a barrier on the southern border with Mexico.

“They have already agreed to this stuff. The DACA portion of this stuff. The wall money. The length of the wall. They have agreed to more of this. He has got them in the corner and they are gonna have to explain why they don't want to open up the government right now. They are holding all the cards,” Bongino said.

Democratic leadership in Congress has come out against the compromise. The partial government shutdown has dragged on for a month now and led to hundreds of thousands of federal workers being furloughed or working without pay.

Trump has said he will not sign a bill to open the government unless it includes that wall funding, while Democrats have refused to consider the $5.7 billion figure, instead offering $1.3 billion for general border security.

There’s no reason for Nancy Pelosi to be travelling anywhere to during the shutdown. She’s supposed to be negotiating with Trump to open up the government. The only reason she’d travel somewhere is if she didn’t care about opening the government up which apparently the case because she recently tried to take a taxpayer funded trip on a military jet to Afghanistan and Europe.

That was until Trump put a stop to it with this epic letter.

Pelosi and the mainstream media have been scrambling to come up with a response and Nancy didn’t do a great job.

That claim that Trump leaked her plans is simply false.

The media needed something else to distract everyone from Pelosi’s embarrassment and they found something. They are shifting their focus to Melania.

First lady Melania Trump left Washington, D.C., on Thursday to spend the holiday weekend at her husband President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property, and many were quick to attack her for traveling just hours after the president grounded Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

On ABC’s “The View” Friday, regular guest host Ana Navarro brought up the topic, saying, “Let’s not forget that while he was canceling Nancy Pelosi going to visit troops in Afghanistan, Melania was flying on an Air Force jet to Mar-a-Lago in Florida.”

A lot going on there.

Nancy Pelosi is not entitled to use that plane. It’s for the taxpayers. Pelosi wasting money to go on a trip to Afghanistan is not the same as Melania going home for the holiday. Why in the world does Pelosi have to go to Afghanistan? What possible reason does she have to go? She claims she has to get “briefings”. She can be briefed in Washington as Dan Bongino pointed out.

These trips are a scam and it wasn’t just Nancy going. Several other members of Congress were going on a lavish excursion across the world.

That’s not even remotely the same as Melania taking one flight home during the shutdown. She’s the First Lady. She doesn’t need to be in D.C. negotiating. Nancy has a job to do.

Only people who truly hate Melania could try and compare these two different situations.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent a letter Wednesday to the White House asking for a postponement of the annual State of the Union address until after the government shutdown has ended. Pelosi cited security concerns over the speech due to “hamstrung” security agencies.

Pelosi wrote:

The U.S. Secret Service was designated as the lead federal agency responsible for coordinating, planning, exercising, and implementing security for National Special Security Events. However, both the U.S. Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security [DHS] have not been funded for 26 days now — with critical departments hamstrung by furloughs. Sadly, given the security concerns and unless government re-opens this week, I suggest that we work together to determine another suitable date after government has re-opened for this address or for you to consider delivering your State of the Union address in writing to the Congress on January 29th.

However, multiple DHS officials and Secret Service veterans have said that Pelosi is not being truthful in her remarks and weaponizing the Secret Service for political reasons.

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino tells The Daily Caller that Pelosi owes the Secret Service an apology and that the shutdown has nothing to do with agency readiness.

“The timing of their paychecks will have absolutely ZERO impact on their security plan. If Pelosi thinks the agents are going to put the POTUS in danger because they’ve missed a paycheck then she should find a new line of work,” Bongino said.

“The Secret Service is owed an apology by her for being unnecessarily put in the middle of this. These are patriots, not politicians,” Bongino added. (RELATED: Trump: If Democrats Think A Wall Is ‘Immoral,’ They Should Do Something About The Vatican)

Bongino also tweeted that Pelosi fabricated “a story in order to hurt Trump. Pathetic.”

Radio host and political commentator Dan Bongino accused Democrats of being fraudulent hypocrites for threatening to impeach President Donald Trump.

Bongino was addressing comments on “Fox & Friends” Monday made by freshman Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, when she said Congress would “impeach the motherf—er” while talking about Trump.

“Let’s start with the hypocrisy here,” Bongino said. “Listen, Democrats, I get it. It’s politics.

“You know, you do a lot of stuff that’s fraudulent and phony but at least try to have some dignity in your lives.”

Tlabi’s remarks came during a Thursday event for Moveon.org — a liberal website initially funded by George Soros after the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton.

“Don’t you find it a little ironic that it was said at a Moveon.org event? Move-on was founded to move on from the President Clinton impeachment proceedings,” Bongino continued.

“Does anybody find that even remotely ironic because they thought it was ridiculous, the impeachment proceedings.”

“Secondly, the fact that this was said at a private event — wait, wait now, time-out, hold on, red flag, let’s go under the hood for review here just like in the NFL, right. Are you telling me private event comments don’t matter now? Because when Mitt Romney made his 47 percent comment that was at a private event and that was a national — no that it wasn’t a national, that was a cosmic story.”

Bongino also said Democrats have preached about a return to civility in politics, but have failed to follow their own advice.

“For months we’ve been told now by the Democrats how tone and civility matters. Yet, we’ve got Maxine Waters — We’ve now got Rashida Tlaib from Michigan. This is ridiculous. They’ve lost all credibility on the tone,” he said.

“Stop with the nonsense. Have some dignity in your lies and keep them to just little white lies instead of big ones we can debunk like this.”

As seen on Fox & Friends Weekend

Regarding her claims of Native American ancestry, Dan Bongino said Sunday that Sen. Elizabeth Warren is making a similar mistake to Hillary Clinton.

Warren (D-Mass.) made the rounds in Iowa over the weekend after announcing days prior that she had launched an exploratory committee to consider a 2020 run.

She's faced criticism, though, for how she has handled her claims of Native American heritage. She was immediately asked about the topic on Saturday in Sioux City and responded by saying that she's "not a person of color."

"I’m not a citizen of a tribe. Tribal citizenship is very different from ancestry," she told the crowd. "Tribes and only tribes determine tribal citizenship and I respect that difference."

Bongino said on "Fox & Friends" that -- similar to questions around Clinton's use of a private email server -- Warren should have cleared the air on the matter right away.

Lara Trump: Pelosi's Jab About Pres. Trump Working With Women Is 'True Identity Politics'

"This is just not gonna go away," Bongino said. "She's dragging this thing out and slowly but surely changing the story each time."

Warren fired back at criticism by President Trump in October by releasing DNA test results that showed a trace of Native American heritage.

Bongino added that Warren should come out and simply apologize for her past claims.

"If you come out as this identity politics warrior like Elizabeth Warren, fighting for what you perceive to be marginalized people, and then you take and you hijack their ancestral identity and heritage? That's a really damaging narrative. She really needs to clean this up," he said.

During an interview with “60 Minutes,” newly sworn-in Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez proposed a tax on the wealthiest in America that could be as high as 60 to 70 percent.

You read that right, Ocasio-Cortez said she wants to tax the wealthiest Americans 70 percent of their earnings.

And for what? To pay for her “Green New Deal” which focuses on climate change efforts.

From Politico:

Speaking with Anderson Cooper in a “60 Minutes” interview scheduled to air Sunday, Ocasio-Cortez said a dramatic increase in taxes could support her “Green New Deal” goal of eliminating the use of fossil fuels within 12 years — a goal she acknowledges is ambitious.

“What is the problem with trying to push our technological capacities to the furthest extent possible?” Ocasio-Cortez asked. “There’s an element where yeah, people are going to have to start paying their fair share in taxes.”

Ocasio-Cortez pointed out that in a progressive tax rate system, not all income for a high earner is taxed at such a high rate. Rather, rates increase on each additional level of income, with dramatic increases on especially high earnings, such as $10 million.

Here’s more, from Fox News:

Rising Democratic star Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said in a new interview that she could fund her proposed “Green New Deal” in part by slapping a tax as high as 70 percent on top earners.

Ocasio-Cortez, sworn in as Congress’ youngest member on Thursday, is one of a number of Democrats who backs the Green New Deal — which aims to combat both climate change and income inequality with a massive and costly economic overhaul. Ocasio-Cortez has called it “a wartime-level, just economic mobilization plan to get to 100% renewable energy.”

A draft text circulated around Congress lays out a framework that includes eliminating greenhouse gas emissions from manufacturing and agriculture and “dramatically” expanding energy sources to meet 100 percent of power demand through renewable sources.

The Washington Post reports the rate hike would return the tax near historic highs and would only affect those Americans who make more than $10 million a year.

“Talking to Anderson Cooper, the new House member suggested the new tax rate apply to Americans earning more than $10 million a year, noting that similar rates existed in America a few decades ago,” the Washington Post reports. “The top tax rate was above 90 percent during the 1950s, and while it has slowly descended, it remained as high as 50 percent for much of President Ronald Reagan’s tenure in the 1980s.”

Such a rate hike would be a tremendous increase from the recently reduced rate of 37 percent.

“American households that earn more than $600,000 annually currently pay a 37 percent tax rate, down from the 39.6 percent rate they paid before the Republican tax law passed in 2017,” the Post continued. “Conservatives have pushed for lower taxes on the rich as a spur to economic growth, while liberals see potentially untapped revenue that could fund their key social spending priorities, such as Medicare for all and free college tuition.”

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino criticized the proposal as “devoid of reason” and said people who propose the ideal are “intellectual lightweights.”

“This is a statement devoid of reason and common sense which is strictly designed to appeal to intellectual lightweights with zero understanding of who pays taxes, in what amounts, and in what percentages,” Bongino said in a Saturday morning tweet. “Please, dance all you want, but crack a book in between.”

Socialist darling and New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announced yesterday she will defy Democratic leadership and vote against a Pelosi-backed House rules package.

The 29-year-old first-time lawmaker wrote on Twitter, “Tomorrow I will also vote No on the rules package, which is trying to slip in #PAYGO. PAYGO isn’t only bad economics, as @RoKhanna explains; it’s also a dark political maneuver designed to hamstring progress on healthcare+other leg. We shouldn’t hinder ourselves from the start.”

Tomorrow I will also vote No on the rules package, which is trying to slip in #PAYGO.

PAYGO isn’t only bad economics, as @RoKhanna explains; it’s also a dark political maneuver designed to hamstring progress on healthcare+other leg.

We shouldn’t hinder ourselves from the start. https://t.co/WW3UaBs7vh

— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) January 2, 2019

According to Fox News, the pay-go rule “would require that any new mandatory spending for entitlements or tax cuts be offset by other separate revenue increases (such as tax hikes) or budget-cutting measures so that the new spending does not expand the federal deficit.”

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) first stated he would vote against the package, tweeting, “I will be voting NO on the Rules package with #PayGo. It is terrible economics. The austerians were wrong about the Great Recession and Great Depression. At some point, politicians need to learn from mistakes and read economic history. @paulkrugman @StephanieKelton @RBReich.”

Consider asking @danpfeiffer @StephanieKelton @paulkrugman @JosephEStiglitz @SandyDarity about the policy and the politics. Anyone who has studied the economic literature of the Great Recession knows the austerians have been discredited!

— Ro Khanna (@RoKhanna) January 2, 2019

So far, only Ocasio-Cortez and Khanna have publicly come out against the rules package that includes the pay-go provision. A total of 218 representatives must vote ‘yes’ to pass the new rules, meaning that ordinarily, 18 Democrats would need to vote against the rules package in order for it to fail. However, one Republican has said he will support Pelosi’s package, which would raise the needed number of Democratic defectors to 19 to kill the proposal.”

Dan slammed Cortez’s announcement, tweeting “Apparently, paying for govt with current tax revenue is now ‘bad economics.’ This is a statement so devoid of reason that rational people will struggle to grasp how a lawmaker would dare utter it.”

I’ve been doing my best to ignore this nonsense but it’s entirely out of hand. Radio host and political commentator Dan Bongino accused Sen.-elect Mitt Romney of decimating the Republican Party, on “Fox & Friends” Wednesday, and said he’ll be one of the last remnants of the District of Columbia swamp.

Bongino was responding to a Tuesday op-ed in The Washington Post written by Romney, in which he criticized President Donald Trump and the administration’s policies. (RELATED: MSNBC’s Mika Says Mitt Romney Will Bring ‘Dose Of Reality’ To Trump)

He called Romney a “sell-out” and said he and outgoing Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona will always be linked as members of the GOP Swamp.

“He’s a sell-out. He’s a fraud. He’s a phony. He’s a fake,” Bongino said. “This is the kind of guy who has absolutely disseminated the Republican Party.”

“When there’s a museum left to the remnant of the swamp GOP and we’re all walking through this museum in 20 or 30 years when there used to be the GOP– exhibit 1 will be Mitt Romney followed closely by Jeff Flake,” he continued. “You know Jeff Flake had to pass the baton of GOP sell-outs. And they couldn’t even wait. The race isn’t even over yet. Romney doesn’t even swear in, I believe, until Thursday. So, they couldn’t even wait to pass the baton.”

Bongino also criticized Romney for biting the hand that fed him after Trump endorsed him in his Utah Senate race during November’s midterms.

“Trump gave him a chance. He gave him another chance having dinner with him in Manhattan, the president that is, and interviewed him for jobs. And do you know what? He endorsed Romney, the president. You want to talk about character, you big phony fraud fake! You know what? You should have never taken that endorsement if this is how you felt,” he said. “This guy’s a disgrace. He’s an embarrassment. I’m embarrassed for him, the people of Utah and anyone who supported this fraud. What a fake.”

Former NYPD officer Dan Bongino blasted U.S. immigration policies after a police officer in California was fatally shot by an alleged illegal immigrant fugitive.

As Fox News reported, Gustavo Perez Arriaga is accused in the shooting death of Newman Police Cpl. Ronil Singh.

Singh was gunned down last Wednesday after he stopped Arriaga for a DUI investigation, Sheriff Adam Christianson said at a Thursday news conference.

Bongino said on "Fox & Friends" that Singh -- who legally immigrated to the U.S. from Fiji -- was "everything that's right about this country."

As of Saturday, eight total suspects have been arrested in connection to Singh's death, including Arriaga's girlfriend and brother.

"A guy who should not have been in this country was here, because we cannot defend our borders, because our politicians in D.C. aren't doing a damn thing about it," Bongino added.

He said that Singh's murder won't change the minds of open-borders advocates in California.

"I think that there is a ... substantive wing of the Democrat Party that is absolutely committed to open borders and basically the destruction of the Republic as we know it," he said.

Dan Bongino slammed Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker Monday on "Fox & Friends" after he took a shot at President Trump over the weekend.

Corker has increasingly criticized the president since the Republican senator announced he wouldn't run for a third term.

In an interview Sunday, Corker said that Trump's fight for a border wall, which led to a partial government shutdown, was "made up."

"This is a made-up fight so the president can look like he's fighting," he said. "But even if he wins, our borders are gonna be insecure."

Bongino called Corker's comments "gross" on Monday and backed Trump's calls for stronger border enforcement.

"For him to abandon the president right now is really gross and shows he has no spine, and I'm glad he left office," Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, said.

During Sunday's interview, Corker urged the American public to focus on a "significant thing like pulling out of Syria."

Trump criticized the senator on Twitter following his remarks, noting that he refused to endorse him.

.....Bob Corker was responsible for giving us the horrible Iran Nuclear Deal, which I ended, yet he badmouths me for wanting to bring our young people safely back home. Bob wanted to run and asked for my endorsement. I said NO and the game was over. #MAGA I LOVE TENNESSEE!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 23, 2018

Bongino added on Monday that Democrats "don't want to give Donald Trump a victory," which is why they won't compromise on border security.

"They are focused on one thing and one thing only: that's impeachment or a devastating loss for him in re-election," he said.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson and former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino are disgusted by the left’s deafening silence on the weaponization of US intelligence agencies to settle personal scores and punish political enemies.

A shocking recent case suggests there was widespread corruption involving special counsel Robert Mueller during his tenure as FBI director.

Dennis Nathan Cain, a whistle-blower, recently turned over documents to the Department of Justice, Congress, and to the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The documents allegedly showed that federal officials — notably, then-FBI Robert Mueller — ignored the cozy, unethical relationship between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation, and a Russian company called Rosatom that purchased Uranium One.

Instead of protecting Cain as a whistle blower, 16 FBI agents raided his Maryland home for six hours on November 19.

When the FBI agents arrived at Cain’s house, he notified them that he was a whistleblower whose protected status was recognized by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz. They ignored him.

Tucker Carlson discussed the stunning developments with former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino, author of “Spygate: The Attempted Sabotage of Donald J. Trump.”

Bongino remarked: “Having been a former federal agent myself this is deeply disturbing…You don’t typically raid a whistleblower’s house. The whole idea of being a whistleblower is you are providing information voluntarily to assist a law enforcement. Why you would raid the house is puzzling.”

“Some people believe that this could be really bad for the Clintons and be kind of a tying-up of the Clinton Foundation case that appears to be being investigated by John Huber right now, the United States attorney.

The people involved in this Uranium One case are all people who are knee-deep in the Spygate saga.

Rod Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, was a prosecuting United States attorney on the precursor case to Uranium One. Bob Mueller was the FBI director [on that disaster].

So forgive me for not being willing to give everyone a pass on a suspicious raid on a whistle-blower’s home. I’m not taking anybody at their word anymore — and neither should you.”

Tucker Carlson said what’s appalling is that the leftist media are not demanding an investigation into the mass weaponization of the FBI to settle personal grudges.

“For generations, the left elevated the idea of whistle-blowing to a sanctified place,” Carlson recounted. “Whistle-blowers were protected. They are protected in law and they’re protected because liberals wanted them protected. And yet I haven’t heard anybody at the left complain about the FBI raid on this guys house. Why is that?”

Dan Bongino said it’s because of the left’s pathological, irrational hatred of President Trump.

Bongino said the left — which previously defended civil liberties (like protection against unreasonable searches) — have completely abandoned those principles in their quest to destroy anyone who’s anti-Democrat or pro-Trump

“They have now flipped the script entirely to actually defending weaponized government,” he observed. “It’s unbelievable the transformation that we see.”

Bongino added: “It’s not in dispute that there are serious abnormalities in the way that Donald Trump investigation has been conducted, versus the way the Clinton investigation and the Uranium One investigations were sidelined. But nobody is even remotely curious on the left about this. It’s really incredible.”

Ok… so I’ve never actually watched the show “Murphy Brown” before.

What I can say is that given this scene alone, I’m fairly certain this might be some of the worst acting I’ve ever seen. I mean DANG. Those lines might be better delivered by cardboard cutouts. They were STIFF!

Anyway, someone decided an “ICE raid” made an excellent Thanksgiving special:

The rebooted sitcom “Murphy Brown” depicted an ICE raid during the show’s Thanksgiving episode on Thursday night.

During the scene, what appear to be Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents enter a food truck and announce an “outstanding removal order” for the truck’s owners, who the agents say are undocumented immigrants.

“You cannot barge in here like this,” Brown replies. “I know you’re used to dealing with people who are scared and vulnerable, but if you don’t get out of this truck, I will spatchcock you.”

GROOOOOAN. That was ridiculous.

Was that “spatchcock you” line supposed to be funny? It wasn’t.

Dan Bongino made an appearance on this morning’s ‘Fox and Friends’ to talk about it.

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino said Saturday on “Fox & Friends” that the scene was “grossly offensive.”

“There’s no issue out there that Hollywood and the intelligentsia and academia has misread America more on than immigration,” he said.

He said that Hollywood wants to use ICE agents as a “foil” for a “sick political message.”

“You want to make it even worse? A lot of ICE agents out there, a large swath of them, are Hispanic men and women who want to defend this country as well,” he said.

But of course, the creators of the show don’t give a crap about ANY of that. Their narrative is that immigrants = good, law enforcement = evil… and nothing will stand in the way of pushing it.

You can watch Dan’s appearance here.

An article published originally in the U.K. Telegraph, and republished via Yahoo News outlines growing fear within the U.K. government and British intelligence officers surrounding President Trump discovering how far they were involved within “Spygate”.

The facts are not uncommon to anyone who has done research into the events of 2015 and 2016; however, the interesting aspect surrounds the current level of anxiety which indicates something is soon to become very public.

The central concern of the British officials surrounds President Trump declassifying evidence that will outline a coordinated effort by a weaponized U.S. intelligence apparatus to use their foreign counterparts for two aspects: (1) to spy on the Trump campaign in 2016; and (2) to help carryout an entrapment scheme that would become the baseline for the FBI’s counterintelligence operation which evolved into Mueller’s Russian election interference investigation (aka. the “insurance policy”).

According to the Telegraph outline the current U.K. Prime Minister is intentionally being kept out of the communication loop because British intelligence are fearful President Trump might ask about her knowledge. Keeping Theresa May blind to the U.K operations against Trump provides plausible deniability if questioned. Additionally, all British embassy staff in the U.S. have been told to say absolutely nothing if questioned.

All of the activity described within the article outlines a significant sense of concern, within the highest elements of U.K. government, that President Trump will discover how far they went to see him eliminated in the 2016 presidential election.

Of course none of this is surprising.

In 2016 candidate Trump supported Brexit; the professional political class in the U.K. were vehemently against it. Additionally, candidate Trump was openly challenging the structure of NATO and demanding changes to the alliance. This was antithetical to the interests of the U.K. government and likely sent shockwaves through their collectivist system when candidate Trump won the GOP nomination. The Brits had a strong motive to see Trump destroyed and aligned with weaponized U.S. intelligence toward that end.

As President, Mr. Trump, has held true to his campaign promises and forced the British -and the EU writ large- to be more responsible for their own military security. President Trump has challenged the post-WW2 NATO structures and forced the EU to pay more for their defense. Many member nations are vocally unhappy with this shifted landscape because it means less money for liberal/socialist causes. [Note: Including Canada]

Lastly, the U.K. and E.U. (mostly German anxiety) are facing a much tougher trade objective as outlined by President Trump. The trade conflict is costing them billions in addition to their increased need to spend on their own defense via NATO to keep Trump off their back. He might be just one man, but President Trump has them surrounded.

President Trump is not allowing the same one-way benefits within the U.S. trade relationship with the EU; and as he highlighted with the use of tariffs, he is not hesitant to smash the EU economy (mostly Germany) with crippling auto-tariffs if needed.

Trump is leveraging access to the U.S. markets as pressure on the Europeans to comply with U.S. demands. The Europeans, including the British, are not used to this level of confrontation from the U.S. Their economic frames of reference surround acquiescence from prior American presidents. They are increasingly unnerved and the horrible President Trump simply doesn’t care.

And then there’s the newly emphasized Iran sanctions… the economic MOAB that threatens any/all European interests who might dare to get caught doing business with the Iranian regime. President Trump has shown he is not the least bit hesitant to pull the trigger on Treasury penalties against any nation or multinational interest who would defy the sanctions.

So yeah,…. as if the landscape wasn’t tenuous enough already. Imagine what’s going on behind the scenes where the high-brow British government are wondering what Deplorable Trump will do if their own intelligence officials are forced to admit they attempted to interfere in his election.

Oh dear… ‘Have another crumpet’!

FBI actively investigating Papadopoulos days after his release from prison

Scott Stedman

Federal authorities out of Washington DC, working in coordination with Robert Mueller’s team, have in recent days sought to arrange an interview with the author of a letter sent to Congress last month that claimed that ex-Trump adviser George Papadopoulos coordinated with Russians in the weeks following the 2016 election. The person who wrote the letter is expected to travel to DC for an interview with the FBI about the claims, per two U.S. officials involved and the author of the letter. All three have requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of the topic.

The memo sent to Congressman Adam Schiff by a former confidant of Papadopoulos on November 19, as first reported by this reporter and Natasha Bertrand of the Atlantic, made a series of allegations against the ex-Trump campaign adviser. First and foremost, the letter claimed that in December 2016, Papadopoulos said “that he was doing a business deal with Russians which would result in large financial gain for himself and Mr. Trump. Mr. Papadopoulos told me that this deal with Russians would set him up for life.” The author also says that (s)he witnessed a phone call between Trump and Papadopoulos. None of the claims have been substantiated, though Congress plans to dig into the specific allegations.

The FBI’s interest in the letter and its writer signals that federal authorities are taking the allegations seriously and continue to investigate Papadopoulos even after he served 12 days in a federal prison for lying to investigators about his interactions with a Maltese professor who claimed that Russians had dirt on Hillary Clinton in the form of thousands of emails.

Patrick Boland, A spokesman for Congressman Schiff and Caroline Polisi, a lawyer for Papadopoulos did not immediately return a request for comment. Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller’s office declined to comment.

Separately, this reporter has in recent weeks communicated with the author of the letter in which evidence was shared that proved their proximity to Papadopoulos in late 2016 and early 2017. The evidence includes messages and photos and the person’s identity was independently corroborated by a family member of Papadopoulos who confirmed that they had been aware of Papadopolous’s association with the person. Though none of the major claims in the letter have been substantiated, some of the underlying details have. Messages from Papadopoulos to the confidant included the phrase “I am set for life.” The Papadopoulos associate said that this message was in reference to a Russian business deal.

The FBI’s renewed interest in Papadopoulos and his purported Russian ties come as Papadopoulos and his wife, Simona Mangiante, have detailed his interactions with an alleged source for the Christopher Steele dossier, the enigmatic Sergei Millian.

The story surrounding the interactions between Millian and Papadopoulos has changed numerous times in recent months. On a podcast with Dan Bongino in early November (timestamp 43:35), Papadopoulos says that Millian reached out on LinkedIn in July 2016 and the two met in Chicago. In October 2016, Millian once again asked Papadopoulos to meet, saying that he had an interesting private sector offer. According to Papadopoulos, Millian said, “I have a deal for you for $30,000 a month, a great office in Manhattan, it’s simply PR…for some ex-Minister in Russia, but the qualifier is that you have to work for Trump at the same time and you can’t tell anybody.”

This version of events conflicts with the story told by Mrs. Papadopoulos. Speaking to the Daily Caller, Mrs. Papadopoulos stated that Millian “offered her husband a job working for the Russian energy company Bashneft.” Bashneft is a subsidiary Rosneft, the Russian conglomorate that Mr. Steele alleged was involved in a quid-pro-quo with Carter Page and other members of the Trump team.

The conflicting narratives about the offer from Millian to Papadopoulos in late 2016 add intriguing context to the underlying claims of the letter sent to Schiff.

Exclusively obtained photos and schedules for Russian energy events in the weeks before Millian contacted Papadopoulos show that the Belarus-born Millian hobnobbed with very senior Russian government officials, sharing stages with some of the most powerful leaders in the Kremlin.

Millian spent mid April 2016 in Moscow as part of the Russian government sponsored Oil&Gas Industry Week and the Russian-Chinese Energy Investment Forum. Photos of the events show Millian alongside Russian officials, including Deputy Energy Minister Kirill Molodtsov. Among the featured speakers at the opening of the Oil&Gas event included Alexander Torshin, then-Deputy Chairman of Central Bank of Russia and handler of admitted Russian agent Maria Butina.

One panel in which Millian spoke included the most senior Russian government officials and business leaders, including the Vice Presidents of Rosneft, Lukoil, and Gazprom. The moderator for the event was Sergey Belyakov, a Russian intelligence-trained former Deputy Minister of Economic Development.

In June 2016, Millian returned to Russia and attended the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. There, he was pictured with Oleg Deripaska and Alexander Novak, the current Russian Minister of Energy and member of President Putin’s inner circle. Novak also sits on the Board of Rosneft and Gazprom.

Millian’s proximity to the powers-that-be in Russia in the weeks leading up to his outreach to Papadopoulos and other Trump campaign members raises new questions about why Millian attempted to communicate with members the Trump team. The lack of clarity surrounding Millian’s interactions with Papadopoulos are expected to be of interest to Congressional investigators, who plan to talk to the ex-Trump aide after Democrats regain power in early January.

Late last night another activist judge, U.S. District Judge Jon Steven Tigar in San Francisco (Obama appointee), issued a temporary restraining order against the Trump administration’s modified emergency asylum policy which barred asylum for aliens who enter the country illegally.

[Read Court Ruling HERE] Setting up, yet again, another likely higher court appeal/decision.

While a challenge was predictable, frustrating and likely to be spun up by media, the ruling only applies to aliens who gain illegal entry and request asylum.

Nothing in the ruling stops the hardened border enforcement and/or current expedited review and deportation program. In essence, keep the illegal aliens out and the judicial ruling is moot (until defeated in higher courts).

Though it might frustrate the left-wing media and the open borders crowd, no court can successfully demand the President of the United States to stop border enforcement. This is why it is critical to have a strong DHS Secretary focused on stopping illegal entry.

This ruling will obviously be appealed by the DOJ; and politically the Democrats realize, in the bigger picture, this ‘open-border’ narrative is not good for them. On its face this ruling is ridiculous as it eliminates/undermines the legal process for asylum requests by removing the distinction of illegal or unlawful conduct in the application process.

Unfortunately, some members of the caravan are purposely causing disruptions at our border ports of entry. There is a legal and illegal way to enter the US. We have deployed additional forces to protect our border. We will enforce all our laws.

— Sec. Kirstjen Nielsen (@SecNielsen) November 19, 2018

Meh, stay frosty: (1) Everyone knew this was going to SCOTUS; (2) Detention remains in effect.

It's an legal/administrative challenge to the *paperwork* and *processing* within definitions of those seeking asylum. The ruling does *NOT* change the status of blocked entry. https://t.co/z9ai02H7HO

Dan Bongino was highly critical of Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes after the handling of Tuesday's midterm election votes in Florida were called into question.

On Saturday, Florida's secretary of state, Ken Detzner, announced recounts for the tight Senate and gubernatorial races.

Snipes is at the center of the voting controversy after invalid and valid votes in the elections were reportedly mixed.

Former President Obama's remark that deploying troops to the southern border is a "political stunt" was "an act of political malpractice," Dan Bongino said on Saturday.

Obama made the comment Friday at a rally in Florida and accused the Trump administration of taking troops from their families.

"They're telling you the existential threat to America is a bunch of poor refugees a thousand miles away," he said of Republicans

Bongino, a former Secret Service agent, said on Fox & Friends that the Democrats' approach to immigration is a "stunt" itself.

Defense Secretary James Mattis denied on Wednesday that sending troops to the border was any type of stunt, with the midterm elections just three days away.

"The support that we provide to the secretary for homeland security is practical support based on the request from the commissioner of customs and border police, so we don't do stunts in this department," he said.

The armed troops will be sent to the border to perform logistical and support functions as the migrant caravan continues to move north.

Bongino added on Saturday that Democrats have been dishonest about the immigration debate and that "they're not serious about it."

Former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino said Saturday on "Justice with Judge Jeanine" that the successful confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court means "Trumpism has been entirely vindicated."

Bongino said an "iron triangle" of ideological opposition has "dominated the GOP for years."

"Activist groups, the media and the 'swamp'," he said. "Trump keeps continuing to beat the snot out of all of them politically."

Bongino said Trump "ran up the score" at his Kansas rally Saturday evening, celebrating Kavanaugh's confirmation and ripping Democratic opponents.

"The ruthless, disgusting filthy attacks on Kavanaugh have galvanized Republican voters," he said.

Bongino, who lives in Florida, said the state's Democratic senator, Bill Nelson, is "in trouble" as his reelection bid against Republican Rick Scott approaches.

He said that "Republican anger at the statewide level" may be enough to topple several Democratic incumbents like Nelson.

Bongino said "Trumpism" has also succeeded in bringing the party together, noting that the president and Maine Sen. Susan Collins have not always been on the same side of issues.

Collins made an impassioned speech Friday before announcing her intention to support Kavanaugh.

Political commentator Dan Bongino said Democrats are fearful of rapper Kanye West, because he is challenging their narrative about the Republican Party being evil.

West delivered a pro-Trump speech during “Saturday Night Live” this past weekend and claimed producers pressured him to remove his MAGA hat before going out on stage. West remained defiant and said he wouldn’t be told what to do.

“This is not a small moment, what happened with Kanye West. Now I get it, Kanye West is probably not a doctrinaire conservative,” Bongino said on “Fox & Friends” Monday. “Let’s just stipulate that right now. As a matter of fact I don’t know how deeply involved in the issues Kanye West gets.”

“Here’s the thing. The Democrats have been very effective over the last few decades, in my generation — of getting people to avoid the Republican Party in the minority community … because they’re smart,” he continued. (RELATED: Kanye West Defends His Support Of President Trump On Jimmy Kimmel Live)

Bongino said West has labeled the GOP a “safe” group of people for minorities and young people to follow, while continually dispelling the rumor they are “evil.”

“They’re not ethical but they’re smart. They’ve gotten them to believe that the Republicans don’t just have bad ideas, but that they’re really evil people and therefore you don’t want to associate with them,” Bongino said.

“People like Kanye West … who have power with younger voters and minorities who say listen, these guys are safe,” Bongino added. “You may not like all their ideas. You may not like them personally. But these are not a group of evil people like you’ve been told.”

“I wish more celebrities would jump on board,” he concluded.

CRTV podcast host Dan Bongino thinks conservative voters are fired up to vote in the midterm elections as new allegations of sexual misconduct have been thrown at Judge Brett Kavanaugh with no supporting evidence.

Speaking on “Fox & Friends” Monday morning, Bongino reacted to the new allegations, calling the timing “extremely suspicious.”

A second accuser, Deborah Ramirez, made new allegations of sexual misconduct against Kavanaugh in a New Yorker story by Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer published Sunday night. Ramirez claims that while she and Kavanaugh were students at Yale, they were both drunk at a dorm party where Kavanaugh exposed himself to her. Ramirez admits her memory is not clear and that there are “significant gaps” that left her uncertain the man who she says exposed himself was Kavanaugh. Additionally, the New Yorker did not confirm with other eyewitnesses that Kavanaugh was at the party. Others alleged to be involved deny the incident happened.

“We see the same pattern now emerging. Decades-old allegations with no corroboration that’s significant — not even significant enough to meet journalistic standards, I mean the New Yorker almost admits that — and no evidence, which means that Judge Kavanaugh can’t possibly get his name and reputation back if he is innocent in this,” Bongino said.

“This is not a consequence-free environment,” Bongino added, noting that Kavanaugh’s reputation is being destroyed.

As a former Secret Service agent, Bongino said the lack of evidence means there’s nothing to investigate. Because a criminal investigation cannot be conducted, Bongino said the matter is entirely political and criticized Senate Democrats for preventing the Senate from conducting its role of “advise and consent” by withholding information from the Republicans. Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said in a statement that the committee’s majority staff learned about the new allegations in the New Yorker’s article. Grassley said Democratic staff knew of the new allegations and did not inform Republican staffers.

“How do you expect the Senate to advise and consent 0n anything if one side of the political aisle will not share the information?” Bongino asked. “I mean, these are really basic questions we should all be asking, and the Republican Party’s gotta get savvy to this. It’s time to move on and take a vote. If they blow this, the political ramifications — take it to the bank and cash that check — are going to be severe.”

Prompted by Fox host Steve Doocy, Bongino elaborated on why conservative voters demand that Senate Republicans put a stop to the Democrats’ tactics.

“The Republican base, Steve, is pissed. They’re fired up! This was the one thing a lot of people came out and voted for Donald Trump for,” Bongino said.

“The fact that no corroborating evidence has produced itself and the timing being so suspicious, Republican voters aren’t stupid. They’re starting to figure out that the Democrats have another agenda here.”

Former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino said Friday that Christine Blasey Ford's attorney is putting forth demands "no one will agree to" in exchange for her client testifying before the Senate.

Ford has accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her in 1982 when both were in high school in Maryland.

Attorney Debra Katz is demanding that the hearing not be held Monday as scheduled. She has proposed that Kavanaugh testify first and that Ford not testify until an FBI background investigation into the allegation is completed.

"They're putting it there so no one will agree to that," Bongino said of most of Katz's demands.

He said he is not downplaying the allegations, but dismissed the viability of Kavanaugh testifying first.

"He has to hear what the charges are," he said, adding that even Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee have not seen the letter detailing the allegations that Ford sent to Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.) and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.).

On the 17th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough suggested that President Donald Trump did more damage to the country than those attacks.

“The gravest threat Trump poses to our national security is the damage done daily to America’s image,” he said in a Washington Post op-ed on Tuesday.

My Latest—> Trump is damaging the dream of America more than any terrorist attack ever could. https://t.co/DEnYurEFmW

Scarborough argued that the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks substantially changed the United States' trajectory and led to profligate spending.

He suggested that the aftermath of Sept. 11 led to Trump, “a man who has savaged America’s vital alliances, provided comfort to hostile foreign powers, attacked our intelligence and military communities, and lent a sympathetic ear to neo-Nazis and white supremacists across the globe.”

After citing a Time Magazine writer who said America was an “idea,” Scarborough suggested voters should avoid hurting that idea by opposing Trump's agenda.

“The question for voters this fall,” he said, “is whether their country will move beyond this troubled chapter in history or whether they will continue supporting a politician who has done more damage to the dream of America than any foreign adversary ever could.”

Scarborough's description of Trump sharply contrasted with the president's stated goal to “Make America Great Again.” It also prompted some intense criticism from those on the right:

This is sick. This is deranged. Joe Scarborough should hang his disturbed head in shame and he should resign from public life forever after this shameful analogy. This coward is an embarrassment to himself, his network, and anyone who claims him. https://t.co/RsBWg1Q8t5

On Monday evening Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) revealed Congressional investigators have learned the FBI and DOJ previously leaked information to the press then used those same press stories as a separate source to justify seeking FISA warrants on Trump advisor Carter Page. They knew all along the story was bogus and planted the evidence in the liberal media.

On Friday conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch dropped another bombshell. The Justice Department admitted in a court filing that the FISA Court never held hearings on the FISA applications for former Trump advisor Carter Page.

Now it appears and is likely that the Obama administration bypassed the FISA Court to spy on the Trump campaign based on a story they knew to be false.

Despite constantly accusing President Donald Trump of criminality, congressional Democrats refuse to talk openly about potentially impeaching the president. Why? Because their base isn’t interested in impeachment, or so they maintain.

“The voters don’t want to talk about impeachment right now,” an unnamed Democrat claimed in a statement to Politico.

But as noted Friday evening by Fox News host Tucker Carlson and conservative commentator Dan Bongino, this is a blatant lie. The Democrat base is practically fuming at the mouth at the prospect of their shared arch-nemesis being impeached.

“They will have to [impeach Trump] that because their base demands that they do that. Look at the polls,” Carlson said, likely referencing a CNN poll from June that found that 71 percent of Democrats support impeaching the president.

So why are congressional Democrats lying about impeachment?

Carlson speculated that it’s because they know that, unlike special counselor Robert Mueller’s scandal-plagued probe into alleged Russian collusion, impeachment hearings would be 100 percent transparent and fair.

“There is nothing secretive or stealthy about it. It takes place in public and is a totally transparent process. The voters get to decide what they think and then they render their judgment at the ballot box,” he explained.

He added that voters disliked the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton by Republicans so much that they voted overwhelmingly against the GOP in the 1998 midterms.

When the Fox News host brought up these points to Democrat strategist Christy Setzer, however, she denied them, instead trying to blame the party’s lack of impeachment on a lack of a votes in the Senate.

“Some people are calling for that, but the political reality is it takes 67 votes in the Senate,” she said, prompting Carlson to rhetorically ask why.

The answer, he explained, is because there’s not enough overall public support for impeachment. The CNN poll from earlier found that just 43 percent of Americans support impeachment.

“The public doesn’t like it. I get it. If there was broad public support for it, you would do it. If he is an obvious criminal why isn’t there public support?” he added.

For an answer to that question, Carlson turned to Bongino, who bluntly noted that the Democrats have nothing — absolutely nothing — on the president and would “get smoked” if they tried to go up against him.

“The Democrats don’t want it right now. They would get absolutely smoked in the Senate. Christie is right. 67 votes? You would be lucky to get 40 votes,” he said. “The American public would be furious as they learned from the Clinton operation. The American people in the impeachment trial for Clinton spoke loudly.”

“If you are going to overturn a duly elected president, you damn well better bring the goods. What do they have now?” he continued. “Taxi cab medallions and ‘National Enquirer’ stories. This is what you got, Bob Mueller? This is what you have right now?”

It’s ironic, he further argued, since there’s more evidence against failed Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton than there is against the president.

“They completely ignore the fact that the Clinton team actually paid — with the real campaign funds — a law firm that then declared legal services and used the money to hire a foreign agent to spy on the Trump team,” he said. “That was done with actual campaign funds to put together a fake dossier, but nobody seems to care.”

Instead they’ve wasted countless time and resources operating a veritable “witch hunt” against a president who has yet to be found guilty of any wrongdoing.

“They worry about Trump and Daniel Stormy or Stormy whatever her face is. This is it? This is why we have slammed the brakes on the country for a year and a half. This is the best you can do. This is like the biggest joke in American history. Unfortunately the joke is on us,” Bongino concluded.

Robert Mueller's Russia probe has become "an intergalactic disgrace," Dan Bongino said, arguing no wrongdoings by President Trump have been found even after White House Counsel Don McGahn willingly spoke with members of the special counsel's team.

President Trump tweeted on Saturday that he allowed McGahn and other members of his staff to "fully cooperate" with Mueller.

I allowed White House Counsel Don McGahn, and all other requested members of the White House Staff, to fully cooperate with the Special Counsel. In addition we readily gave over one million pages of documents. Most transparent in history. No Collusion, No Obstruction. Witch Hunt!

The New York Times report also revealed that McGahn spoke with the team for more than 30 hours over the last nine months, and that "he never saw Mr. Trump go beyond his legal authorities."

"This case has gone from embarrassing to really like an intergalactic disgrace at this point," Bongino said Monday on "Fox & Friends."

Bongino added that Mueller knows that his investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 election "is a joke."

Trump's attorney, Rudy Giuliani, said Sunday in an NBC interview that Mueller is "down to desperation time" in his investigation.

"They have to write a report, and they don't have a single bit of evidence," he said.

The Failing New York Times wrote a story that made it seem like the White House Councel had TURNED on the President, when in fact it is just the opposite - & the two Fake reporters knew this. This is why the Fake News Media has become the Enemy of the People. So bad for America!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 19, 2018

The Times report also notes that McGahn was "stunned" that Trump allowed him to speak with Mueller.

Bongino said that if Trump is actually guilty of collusion or obstruction of justice, "he's the worst guilty person" he's ever seen.

"You don't waive privilege ... if you're guilty," he said. "The left can't get out of their own way. They can't see the fact that Trump may be open on this entire thing because he did nothing wrong."

They’ve been completely transparent about it, they put the information out there, nothing of value was exchanged, nothing, I mean, of information value -- I’m not talking about cash value; they don’t need this woman’s cash. And just to throw one more angle in this, to completely throw this thing into the -- throw a monkey wrench into the Clinton machinery here. I don’t know if you heard this, but the two Russians who actually showed up to the Trump Tower meeting with Don Trump Jr. -- you ready for this one? You ready? The two Russians that show up were connected to the Clintons and the people the Clintons hired. You can’t make this up. I’m not making this up.

This latest defense follows months of the NRATV shilling for the Trump administration and trying to discredit every new development in the Russia investigation.

After the FBI raided former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen’s office, Bongino called the investigation a “disgrace” and said, “Fire Bob Mueller, fire this guy now,” during the April 9 edition of his show. One month later, he said, “The whole thing is a scam and the entire story’s falling apart” because “it started for political, not law enforcement or counterintelligence, reasons.” During the June 4 edition of NRATV’s Stinchfield, Bongino and host Grant Stinchfield agreed that the president “could pardon himself” if needed but that the political ramifications of that move would be uncertain, which is one reason why the investigation “should just be disbanded.”

Following Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s testimony before the House intelligence committee about the Mueller probe and his fiery exchange with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Bongino said Rosenstein should have “toned down the attitude a little bit” and claimed that “we should have fired this guy yesterday.” For his part, Stinchfield called Rosenstein “an utter disgrace,” said he showed “disrespect and utter arrogance,” and said that “it is clear he thinks he is better than everyone else.” He also speculated that the “deep state ... exists and Rosenstein is the leader.”

Stinchfield and Bongino also questioned the timing and content of indictments against 12 Russian intelligence officers, released on July 13, days before Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met for a summit in Helsinki. During the July 13 edition of We Stand, Bongino tried to use the indictment to discredit the Mueller investigation, saying, “There is no mention in the indictment anywhere of collusion. None, zero, zilch, nada, nothing. It’s not there, you’re not going to find it. Is this the best the Mueller team has?” The following Monday, Stinchfield called Rosenstein “a thorn in the president’s side” and said that he believes everything in the indictment but that it was released days before the summit to “undermine President Trump.”

All this while the National Rifle Association is knee-deep in questions about whether Russian money was funneled through the organization to help Trump during the 2016 presidential election. Most recently, we’ve learned that federal investigators are tracing “suspicious financial transactions” involving Russian national and NRA associate Maria Butina, who was charged with “conspiring to covertly serve as a Russian agent seeking to influence the National Rifle Association and other U.S. political groups.”

While NRATV has been happy to run defense for the president, it has been reluctant to address reports of Kremlin involvement in the NRA.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, mulling a possible 2020 presidential run, ripped into the Trump administration’s immigration policies on Friday -- calling them “one of the darkest moments in our history” at a rally held by a Latino civil rights organization.

Biden made his fiery remarks in Phoenix, Arizona at an event for the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). He specifically targeted the Justice Department’s “zero tolerance” policy on prosecuting all illegal border crossers.

“Grotesque lies, lies about immigrants, about crime, about costs to the community,” said Biden. “This administration’s policies that literally rip babies from the arms of their mothers and fathers — it’s one of the darkest moments in our history.”

The “zero tolerance” policy, in turn, led to an increase in the number of children separated from their parents until Trump signed an executive order ending the practice.

“Not only is it a national shame, it tarnishes the very idea of America and diminishes our standing in the world,” Biden said.

Trump officials immediately fired back. Trump aide and former secret service agent Dan Bongino noted that Trump had stopped the separation of families and that similar separations had occurred under the Obama administration.

“This policy was in effect during the Biden/Obama years and was enforced even more ‘grotesquely’ to use his words,” Bongino said on Fox & Friends. “He starts that thing off by talking about a series of ‘grotesque lies’ and then doubly ironic goes to lie about what the policy is.”

Biden’s remarks added fuel to a months-long war of words feud with Trump.

In March, the former vice president boasted how he would "beat the hell" out of Trump "behind the gym," with Trump responding that if the two fought, Biden "would go down fast and hard, crying all the way."

Biden has not yet ruled out a bid for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination and has said that he will decide by January whether to run.

"I know I have to make up my mind and I have to do it by January," Biden said, according to USA Today.

In an interview with CBS News this week, Trump said running against Biden in 2020 would be a “dream.”

“Well, I dream, I dream about Biden. That's a dream,” Trump said. “Look, Joe Biden ran three times. He never got more than one percent and President Obama took him out of the garbage heap, and everybody was shocked that he did. I'd love to have it be Biden.”

SHUT IT DOWN ALREADY.

Kristin Davis, the Manhattan Madam connected to former New York Governor, Eliot Spitzer, was subpoenaed by Robert Mueller.

Davis used to work for Roger Stone so now she’s caught up in Mueller’s corrupt witch hunt.

Dirty cop Robert Mueller is gunning for Roger Stone; the longtime Trump aide was referenced in Mueller’s latest press release indictment.

Kristin Davis, the Manhattan Madam who went to prison and was connected to former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, is being subpoenaed in the Robert Mueller investigation … TMZ has learned.

Davis worked for former Trump aide Roger Stone for a decade, and had numerous interactions with Stone and Andrew Miller — who ran Davis’ campaign for Governor and who was subpoenaed by Mueller a month ago.

Sources familiar with the matter tell us, Davis’ lawyer is negotiating the scope of the subpoena with Mueller’s team.

Rather than demanding access to the DNC servers to be forensically inspected, Robert Mueller subpoenas a lady of the night who worked with Roger Stone.

The Mueller witch hunt is out of control and must be shut down immediately.

Mueller’s corruption is astounding.

This week we learned dirty cop Robert Mueller offered Tony Podesta, founder of the now-defunct Podesta Group, immunity in exchange for testimony against Trump’s former campaign chair Paul Manafort.

Mueller must be stopped; he is tearing this country apart.

The Mueller probe is there to save the Clintons & the DOJ/FBI by ensuring that the attention stays focused on Donald Trump. If this Podesta immunity offer materializes then the Mueller probe must be immediately shut down. It is an abomination of justice. A total scam.

Maria Butina (far right) is suspected of conspiracy to act as an unauthorized agent of the Russian Federation within the United States without the authorization of the Attorney General.

Handout/Reuters

It typically takes a mass shooting to keep the National Rifle Association this quiet.

As of this writing, the NRA has issued no public comment about this week’s arrest and indictment of Maria Butina, a 29-year-old Russian gun rights activist who had spent years ingratiating herself with the NRA, as well as Republican politicians and conservative notables. Butina is suspected of conspiracy to act as an unauthorized agent of the Russian Federation within the United States without the authorization of the Attorney General.

And yet all we hear from the notoriously outspoken group is crickets.

The NRA contributed $30 million to help elect Donald Trump in 2016. The FBI has been investigating whether some or all of that cash may have been supplied by Russia. Rolling Stone reported in April that the Russian central banker Alexander Torshin, along with Butina, had deeper ties to the NRA than previously known. The NRA even flew a delegation to Moscow in 2015 to meet with Kremlin officials, including one freshly sanctioned by the Obama administration.

One member of that delegation, disgraced former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, filed an ethics report in February 2016 showing that $6,000 of his trip expenses were paid for by Butina’s group, The Right to Bear Arms. The recently departed NRA president, Pete Brownell, covered $14,000 of Clarke’s airfare and visa expenses. The details continue to trickle out.

And yet, the NRA hasn’t said one word either in Butina’s defense or to distance itself from her and Torshin, Butina’s alleged handler who has also been hit by U.S. sanctions. On Wednesday, a new court filing alleged that Butina was sexually involved with an American connected to the NRA, which media reports have identified as veteran Republican operative Paul Erickson. More importantly, the court memo alleged that Butina had been in contact with the Russian intelligence agency FSB, which replaced the more infamous KGB. As Rolling Stone reported in April, Torshin received a medal from the FSB in 2016.

Butina pleaded not guilty, and her attorneys even tried to argue that she wasn’t a flight risk because she remained in the United States following the publication of Rolling Stone’s investigation. The judge didn’t buy it, and Butina will be jailed until her trial.

In late June, NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch attempted a deflection, repeating Trump’s false accusation that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took $145 million from Russia and later herself colluded with the Kremlin. Two months ago, NRATV host Dan Bongino called reports of NRA-Russia ties a “fairy tale.”

Most fairy tales don’t end with orange jumpsuits and jail time.

Rolling Stone reached out to the NRA on Thursday, via phone and email, to request official comment on the Butina case — as well as the prior words of some of its employees.

As you may have guessed, the NRA has not responded to Rolling Stone’s request, nor has the organization commented to any other outlet as of this time. If and when we receive a comment, we will update this post.

Special counsel Robert Mueller has offered Clinton-connected superlobbyist Tony Podesta immunity in order to testify against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, according to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

“Tonight we can report exclusively based on two separate sources we spoke to today that Tony Podesta has been offered immunity by Robert Mueller to testify against Paul Manafort,” reported Carlson.

The Daily Caller News Foundation has not independently confirmed the report.

Podesta, whose brother is Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, worked with Manafort’s consulting firm in 2012 on a project to help a Ukrainian non-profit group that supported then-Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych.

Manafort has been indicted on numerous counts of conspiracy and fraud related to the work, which ended two years before the longtime Republican operative joined the Trump campaign.

Both Manafort and Podesta’s now-defunct lobbying firm, the Podesta Group, retroactively registered in 2017 with the Department of Justice as foreign agents of Ukraine.

Mueller’s prosecutors informed a federal judge Tuesday in Virginia, where Manafort is set to go to trial, that five witnesses would be granted immunity in order to compel them to testify. The five witnesses had indicated they would invoke their Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination.

Carlson asserted that Podesta receiving immunity from Mueller reveals an anti-Trump double standard in the special counsel’s probe.

“In other words, for a near identical crime, Bill and Hillary’s friend could skate and emerge completely unscathed while Paul Manafort may rot in jail,” Carlson said.

“Only one of them made the mistake of chairing Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.”

Carlson has previously reported details of Podesta’s involvement in the Mueller probe. He reported in October that Podesta was in the special counsel’s “crosshairs.”

Podesta’s lawyers responded by hitting Carlson with a cease-and-desist order, which The Daily Caller co-founder ignored.

The Mueller probe is there to save the Clintons & the DOJ/FBI by ensuring that the attention stays focused on Donald Trump. If this Podesta immunity offer materializes then the Mueller probe must be immediately shut down. It is an abomination of justice. A total scam.

On his way out of office, during the final autumnal days before the 2016 election, President Barack Obama made an appearance that probably ought to be garnering more attention after Thursday’s inspector general’s report on Hillary Clinton’s notorious email server (and the FBI’s desultory investigation into whether classified material was mishandled on it).

In the October just before Americans went to the polls, Obama was speaking before tech industry suzerains in Pittsburgh, where the White House Frontiers Conference was being held. In his speech, he put himself forward as a 21st century president, the kind of guy who was more likely to build his own computer rig and opine on artificial intelligence than have trouble figuring out how to connect to the Wi-Fi network.

“I confess, I am a science geek,” Obama said. “I’m a nerd, and I don’t make any apologies for it. … It’s cool stuff.”

In other words, this was a man who was putting himself forward as tech savvy. He wasn’t just some old dad who didn’t know what was up. This was a man who knew his way around cutting edge things. And, according to him, he had zero idea that Hillary Clinton was using a personal server to handle email, including classified information.

Obama said that he learned about Hillary’s server “at the same time everybody else did, through news reports.” And, as Maury Povich might say, the inspector general’s report determined that was a lie.

“FBI analysts and Prosecutor 2 told us that former President Barack Obama was one of the 13 individuals with whom Clinton had direct contact using her clintonemail.com account,” Thursday’s report revealed. “Obama, like other high level government officials, used a pseudonym for his username on his official government email account.”

This was more or less “known” unofficially for quite some time, but the report was official government recognition that the former president had to have known about Clinton’s private server. Barack Obama, after all, is the consummate geek. Even if you don’t want to drag out minutiae of cybersecurity at the highest levels of government, surely someone in the nation’s highest office realized that clintonemail.com wasn’t a top-level government domain.

Dan Bongino, a former Secret Service agent who has settled into a post-governmental career as a pundit, appeared on Fox News to remind everyone how Obama’s statement was “nonsense.”

“Obama’s clearly not telling the truth here,” Bongino said on “Fox & Friends” Saturday.

Check it out here:

.@dbongino: It’s nonsense for Obama to have claimed he didn’t know about Hillary Clinton’s private server pic.twitter.com/ev37A8PnlF

— FOX & friends (@foxandfriends) June 16, 2018

“Now you sense the frustration of large swaths of America who feel like there’s two justice systems out there,” Bongino said.

This is perhaps the great overarching lesson we’re learning from the IG report. It’s not necessarily about this individual revelation, which has long been suspected. It’s about the difference between the alacrity with which the FBI has pursued a chimerical Trump-Russia connection compared with the purposefully lackadaisical manner in which, as spelled out by the IG report, the bureau pursued Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information.

Consider, for instance, Hillary Clinton’s interview with FBI officials working on the investigation. FBI lawyer Lisa Page — she of Page & Strzok fame — said that the FBI should “consider how Clinton would treat the FBI if she were to become President in deciding how to handle Clinton’s interview. Suggesting that investigative decisions be based on this consideration was inappropriate and created an appearance of bias.” In other words, Page said that Clinton should be treated more or less how Clinton would treat herself.

Or, perhaps you can consider the part where FBI agents admitted they hadn’t searched the email devices of Clinton’s inner circle because of “the culture of mishandling classified information at the State Department which made the quantity of potential sources of evidence particularly vast.” In other words, those tasked with finding criminal activity were afraid they would find too many crimes.

And yet, Barack Obama insists he knew nothing about the server even though he was one of the few people mailing it. He insists he didn’t interfere with the Trump-Russia probe even though text messages between Strzok and Page indicate the White House wanted in on the investigation. He is the Col. Klink of presidents: He knew noth-eeeeeng! And the media, bless their hearts, are willing to credulously play along with this.

There aren’t just two justice systems, but two systems for evaluating the lies of presidents. Trump exaggerates a crowd size and there are days worth of discussions that are at once both ponderous and febrile on cable news, yet Barack Obama has lied about his knowledge of Hillary Clinton’s email server — the thing that may well have sabotaged her campaign and probably should have led to charges — and this is glossed over as a non-story. Barack Obama may indeed be a tech geek, but he’s a public relations geek first and foremost.

As seen on Fox & Friends Weekend

Dan Bongino slammed former President Barack Obama for past comments he made denying early knowledge of Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server.

His criticism comes shortly after the release of the scathing report by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, which found fired FBI Director James Comey was insubordinate and criticized his handling of the Clinton email probe.

Obama said in a 2015 interview with CBS News that he first learned of Clinton's use of the private server "at the same time everybody else learned it through news reports."

"That's nonsense," Bongino said Saturday on "Fox & Friends." "Obama's clearly not telling the truth here."

Obama said in the interview that Clinton was a "great secretary of state" within his administration and that his administration encouraged transparency.

"Now you sense the frustration of large swaths of America who feel like there's two justice systems out there," Bongino said.

Horowitz concluded in his report that while mistakes were made, there was no bias in the FBI's handling of the Clinton email investigation.

"[Obama] was not telling the truth. It's unbelievable what this administration got away with," Bongino added.

According to Horowitz's report, Obama was one of only a few people who had "direct contact" with Clinton through her private email account.

"FBI analysts and Prosecutor 2 told us that former President Barack Obama was one of the 13 individuals with whom Clinton had direct contact using her clintonemail.com account," the report noted.

Bongino said the emails coming into the former president's personal cellphone had to be vetted in advance, meaning it had to go through White House security too.

"That provides a perfect incentive for Barack Obama's Department of Justice to make the Hillary Clinton email investigation go away like an Alka-Seltzer tablet in water because Barack Obama would have been a witness," he added.
